Smart Gaskets® are available in different configurations, 1 port, 2 port, 3 port as above and 4 port. They are made in EPDM and Platinum Silicone, also available in FKM. Helpful devices are available such as temperature probes for thermal mapping, sampling or injection tube’s, and blind plugs in case you only need 2 positions when using a 3 port Smart Gasket®.
The Smart Gasket® itself is twice as thick as a standard gaskets to allow sufficient space for a probe. Therefore you require a special machined clamp with equal number of slots.
The Biological Indicator Gasket (above) enables the use of a self-contained biological indicator in sanitary process lines. The great advantage of a self contained indicator over the traditional spore strip in glassine is the time saved when confirming spore kill. Today results can be easily obtained in 24 hours versus the 5-7 day incubation of a spore strip. Feel secure knowing that the biological indicator will not be lost down stream in the process lines.
This fail save Biological indicator gasket holds the indicator in place for easy retrieval.
The gasket can be equipped with a 1 port Smart Gasket® temperature probe.
